What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on modality that works with the body’s subtle rhythms to release long-held tension and support nervous system regulation. In stillness and presence, the body unwinds, finding its way back into coherence, rest, and integration.
What to Expect in a Session
All sessions are done fully clothed, lying comfortably on a treatment table. With gentle, attuned touch, I listen to the body’s subtle rhythms — following where it asks to release, unwind, and restore.
Each session is unique, because each body holds its own history. Craniosacral therapy works with the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and the cranial rhythm — the subtle tides of the body — to restore balance across systems. Many clients experience a rebalancing of left and right sides of the body, or a dissolving of inner polarities: masculine and feminine, activity and rest, holding and letting go.
This work often moves beyond the physical. It can support the release of emotional trauma, unconscious beliefs, and patterns that no longer serve. Birth imprints and early experiences held deep in the body can be met and integrated. Through a trauma-informed approach — weaving somatic practices, inner child repair, and guided presence — the body finds the conditions it needs to feel safe, to self-correct, and to open into new possibilities of ease and resilience.
Sessions often guide clients into deep states of rest, shifting the nervous system into parasympathetic regulation. Many move into theta brainwave states — the space between waking and dreaming where profound healing and re-patterning can occur — and sometimes beyond, into gamma coherence, a frequency associated with integration, insight, and expanded awareness.
Craniosacral therapy is at once science and energetics, physiology and felt sense, structure and subtlety. Clients often leave feeling deeply rested, lighter, and more at home in themselves. The shifts continue well beyond the table — showing up as more balanced energy, a calmer nervous system, and a greater sense of clarity in daily life.
